OUR HORSES

CRYSTAL

Crystal was abandoned with Derby at the barn were we board our horses. She was at the barn for 2 years when we took initiative and are currently trying to help her move forward.

Crystal had a very successful career as a racehorse (Snow Be It). She was also great as a jumper when she got sore from the saddle. (Her withers are hurting her so much that her body collapses when touching the withers. She also has some hoof issues from being at the barn for 2 years.)

JACK SPARROW

Jack was given to us by a loving owner so that he can be protected through the adoption agreement.

Jack is blind in one eye and also had a short tail. He was very mistrusting. When we got him he would run away from humans. But over time and a lot of carrots from everyone at the barn he got better.

He found a wonderful home as a companion.

PABLO

Pablo is one of my favorite horses because for many years I had been eyeing and trying to find him a home and ending his career as a rental horse. Pablo was very special. He would always watch the boarders and whinny for attention. I knew he would make a great horse.

One day I received a call from a friend that Pablo will be shipped to the auction. We were able to spare him this experience and were able to heal him within three weeks. He was limping when I got him, but his hooves were so long and his blood sugar high. After a good diet he was his good old self. Dan-and-Pablo.jpg (735022 bytes)pablo 1.jpg (68863 bytes)

MAGIC

Magic came to us for retraining and finding a good home. After he had been gelded he was very afraid of humans. It took a long time for him to catch him and halter him. Time and positive reinforcement made him a great companion.

He found a great home after he and his neighbor were inseparable and was adopted as a buddy and mascot.

DERBY

Derby was abandoned with Crystal at the barn where we board our horses.

Derby was great. Even though he was already in his 20's he still had so much energy and love for arena work. Derby also had a tattoo and was a retired race horse, but his number was too faded to read.

LUCKY LUKE

Lucky Luke was another of HOOF's favorite. He came to us after he had thrown his riders. After a few chiropractic adjustments and a proper fitting saddle he was a happy camper. He never bucked again.

He loved jumping and going on the trail. He placed 1st and 2nd in dressage and was loved by everyone.

Lucky Luke was a very successful race horse winning over $75,000.

He found a wonderful home with very caring new owners.

SPECIAL LITTLE DIVA

Special Little Diva was rescued directly from Hollywood Park. She is our most successful rehabilitation. She suffered from a repeated stress fracture to the pelvis. Her back was totally off balance and after  we showed her to two vets, one said to tie her to the door so that she can't lay down, the other said to euthanise her.

That is when we started working with Dowsers to solve our horse's problems. Bill Northern helped us with his suggestions and Diva's swellings were gone after two weeks. It took her one year through chiropractic, massage, and muscle building to be completely healed.

She is now pregnant and living a live of a Diva.
